Online 18th edition update course
This is an upgrade to and will replace, the already existing City & Guilds 2382-18 Wiring Regulations all subsequent amendments.
Course Description:
You need to have a good working knowledge of the 2382-18 as only the updates to the regulations will be covered. Save time and money by covering the topics you need for the new regulations, without having to go over all that you already know. It includes Amendment 2 to BS 7671:2018 (A2:2022).
If you do not have a good working knowledge of the 2382-18 then you will need to take our full online 18th Edition course.
Changes for 18th Edition are as follows:
- Electromagnetic Disturbance
- Surge Protection
- Medical locations
- Operating and Maintenance Gangways
- Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs)
- Changes to fire safety requirements in chapter 422, covering the design of electrical installations in industrial, commercial and multiple-occupancy homes, as well as new information for ‘protected escape routes’
- Protection against over voltages
- Changes across Part 7: Special Locations
- New section – Part 8
Please be aware that the Wiring Regulations course is not designed to teach you every regulation in the book but it will teach you the best practices on how to reference the latest regulations as you would on the job. As such key topics currently covered on the 18th Edition will still be included.
The content of the course is produced in a series of ‘micro learning’ activities (around 4 – 5 minutes in length) and will be available both online and offline via a mobile application. Assessment of knowledge will be a regular feature within the course – ensuring that learners fully understand how to navigate and interpret the Wiring Regulations in their updated form.
All candidates will have access to tutor support via phone & email when needed as part of the course.
As part of the course, learners will have access to three practice examination tests in order to prepare for the City and Guilds 2382:22 examination. A certificate of completion is issued upon finishing the course which can then be presented to your local assessment centre in order to take the exam. Alternatively, learners can take their online exam remotely which will be invigilated by the awarding body for an extra charge of £30.
Once you have purchased the course one of our advisors will be in touch with your login details and how to access the course.
City & Guilds
The City & Guilds 2382-22 course will replace the current C&G 2382-18 certificate.
