R32 Air Con UnitEUROPE: Panasonic has launched its first European products running on the lower GWP refrigerant R32.

The two new ranges of Etherea domestic air conditioning units include the high spec Z range featuring four indoor wall-mounted models from 2.5kW to 5kW in both white and silver and the TZ range of wall-mounted units in four models from 2.5kW to 6.8kW.

The new Z range of Etherea products has been fundamentally redesigned in a way which Panasonic says will suit the interior of any home or commercial property.

As reported by the Cooling Post in January, these models mark the first introduction of Panasonic systems using R32 refrigerant instead of R410A.

The Z range includes Panasonic’s EcoNavi sensor and Nanoe G air purifying system.  Econavi features an in-built human activity sensor and a new sunlight detection technology to adjust output, providing the best comfort at all times. Energy savings of up to 38% are said to be possible with these technologies.

The Nanoe air-purifying system utilises nanotechnology fine particles to remove and deactivate 99% of both airborne and adhesive micro-organisms like bacteria, viruses and mould.

Ensuring the comfort of end users, the TZ produces just 20dB(A), while the Z range operates at 19dB(A). The TZ models boast an energy ranking of A++/A+, while the Z range has a rating of A+++/A++.
